Be Bold

bold

/bōld/

adjective

1.

(of a person, action, or idea) showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous.

“a bold attempt to solve the crisis”

Fortune favors the bold! Now is not the time to wait for things to go back to the way they were. Now is the time to be bold to be willing to take the risk that you may not have considered when things were ticking along and business was growing.

A man diving off a cliff.

Now is not the time to timidly step into the water, now is the time to dive into the deep end.  The bold leader takes action rather than sitting back and waiting for others to lead the way. When asked what was one of his keys to success Richard Branson said, “It is only by being bold that you get anywhere.”

Thomas J. Powell stated that you must be bold when others are afraid! People are afraid and like the deer in the headlights they are frozen, at a standstill, believing that if they wait long enough things will go back to the way they were. However the world moves on and those of us who step out in bold action are changing the way things will be done into the future. Especially in business!

Steve Jobs and Bill Gates are two people, whom I think of, when I think about the boldness it took to believe in their vision of change when others did not.  Time moves forward never backward and history remembers the bold! BE BOLD.
